"What I learned in English 10 Second Quarter"

I learned a lot throught my whole freshmen year. This is my sophmore year and I feel that I am getting very tech smart. I have leared to make my own assignments that will attract peoples attention to work here in San Pasqual Academy. We also got to learn advanced vocabulary word and there defenitions to improve our vocabulary. I also learned how to create forms, spreadsheets , test etc. I think that greatest thing was the smallest wich was probrably my fav. which was to create a pole. A pole is a quetion board that I was able to make in order to get peoples opinions on my work and or just for fun questions.

"Lamb to the Slaughter" -I'm the Detective

If I was the detective investigating the murder of Patrick Maloney in "Lamb to the Slaughter" by Roald Dahl, I would have not sat around and stop looking for the murder weapon. I also would have tried to investigate more on the wife because it was a little suspectful that she would want me to take a drink with her and then offer me some dinner. I also would have asked many questions about her and her husbands relationship. I would have been a great detective because I would have most likely solved the murder case.

" Lamb to the Slaughter" Marry's Giggling.

At the end of " Lamb to the Slaughter" by Roald Dahl,Mary Maloney beggings giggling because she knows that the piece of lamb that she fed the cops to eat was the wepeon that her husband was murdered with. She was also giggling because they were all very happy and also because she new they wouldn't find what killed her husband it was now in there tummy's. After the cops left the house, I predict that Mary Maloney will go to sleep laughing and happy that she will not be caught.

First Pursasive Essay Propt A

Letting students go on pass should be a privilege which means that there passes should be earned. With that being said freshmen should be allowed to go on pass because no student should be treated unfairly and all should be treated equally. Having students not go on pass can affect them strongly.The term referred to as freshmen should not have any sort of affect in the students life and definitely not be treated different from others. For example if a sophomore or senior was to go on pass a freshmen would most likely through a tantrum and or start wondering why the others are allowed to go but they are not. Freshmen need passes just like any other student on this campus and all students must be treated fairly.

Falling in love made a big difference in both “The Bass,the River,and Sheila Mant” story and “Catch the Moon.” In the first story the narrator had a big crush on a girl named Sheila mant, the prettiest girl he had ever met. One day he finally asked her out on a date and she agreed to go. Sheila did not like fishing at all. What Sheila was not aware of was that fishing was the narrators favorite hobby. The narrator let a big mass go away after finding out she hates fishing. While at the fair Sheila met another guy with a nice car and left the narrator all alone. In the story “Catch the Moon” a boy named Luis had just came out of juvenile hall and was court ordered to work for his dad for 6 months. He was to polish rows of hubcaps unless he wanted to go back to juvenile hall . While out one night he stopped at a place called the “Ramirez Funeral Home” were his mother had been just a little before she passed away. He met a girl that made him value certain thing and people in his life.
In “The Bass, the River, and Sheila Mant” and “Catch the Moon” each male character tried to impress a girl in there life whom they liked.The main character in this story is actually no one better but the own narrator W.D Wetherell. The main conflict in this story was that the narrator wanted to impress a girl he had a crush on for such a long time. When he finally got her to go out on a date with him he wanted to show her how good of a fisher he was but then found out she hated fishing. In this story the character changes by first letting go of what he enjoyed the most but at the end nothing worked and did not benefit him at all. The girl in the story left him for some other guy. By reading this story we also learn that when people are in love it is better to be ones self instead of changing to try to impress anyone. Also that the person should like us for who we are and not for someone we are not and by doing that we can find out if the person really cares about us.
The main characters in the story “ Catch the Moon” are a young boy named Luis and a girl named Noami.” Luis’s mom died after getting incredibly sick and not being able to recover. Luis had trouble forgetting about it. One night while driving he happened to stop in front of the Ramirez Funeral home were he could not stop crying. While going through the thoughts he realized he should get the hubcap he needed for Noami and that maybe it was not so bad cleaning all the hubcaps for his dad. By doing that he noticed he was able to love and care for other people that were in his life.This story’s message is that people should be able to care about themselves first and always but still have consideration and care for others involved in there lives as well.
Love can cause people to do things that they normally do not do. In both stories mentioned above both males changed for a girl. One male changes but benefits nothing and the other male changes and learns that he should care for the people involved in his life. The main Idea in the story comparison is about both story's having to make a decision in the end of each story. Both stories teach people valuable lessons about love and life.

A Prize to Earn


So many things can help better us as students to improve our learning and education.
There are 140 kids at San Pasqual Academy, a high school for foster youth.If we were to win the $5,000 dollars towards our education we believe that our students would be able to finish all homework and assignments. We believe that we all have the ability to improve in our education. For example we have an English 10 class that is technology based. We definitely need funding because we only have so many laptops that we can check out after school.
Each student has a blog. Thanks to our English teacher we have become a paperless class learning new technology. For example we get to learn about different websites, what they are based on and how they work, for example we use Voki, Blogger, Google Docs and our favorite one which is our Delicious accounts. This website lets us bookmark different sites and we can make tags. When Ms. Priester brings up new sites or different things that we are going to try out she normally makes a slide show/ PowerPoint that teaches or demonstrates the steps in order for us to learn how to use the websites. Ms. Priester has shown us different techniques in order to get us prepared for college starting from writing essays to making diagrams to the coolest of all designing our own forms or even test. Also, I am an English language learner and used a website called Rosetta Stone in order to improve my English pronunciations and how to write words correctly. If we were able to share this with our whole school and maybe to other students at other schools they would learn that technology and having laptops makes work more enjoyable then writing everything out on paper.
Having the laptops would make teaching better and having a better learning and positive environment as well as not having to worry about not having enough laptops for a whole class. This project will help the students on this campus by saving them many hours of studying and improving their grades. Another way the laptops will help the students is by knowing that when the computers don’t work in the cafe they have another source to use with wireless Internet. When students graduate and get ready for college they are expected to be well versed in the use of laptops. Throughout time as well as personal experience it has been shown that laptops are more effective in producing higher education and more efficient results.
Having laptops will not only improve the education throughout high school but also prepare us for college since college is normally all technology based. Many of our students enjoy technology and many have become even more technologically advanced on their own. Our students at San Pasqual Academy would be very grateful if we were to win this prize.

SPA Movies and Game Day Paragraph

I had a great time on friday. In the beggining of the day we sophmoores and freshmen were all put together in a class to watch a movie. I thought we were going to watch something related to ageing out of the sytem but we ended up watching "Freedom Riders." I enjoy watching that movie it is great the only thing is is always makes me cry when they tell there stories. After watching the movie for about an hour or so we got to all go to the gym. Sopmores played verses seniors in basketball and we beat them. Then we whent to the final game verses the juniors and we beat them as well there for made us basketball champs. Then after playin a few short games of basketball we played volleyball and lost. After all that game time we all whent to the cafe and I signed up for the cupcake competition. The first time I won first place but for the final round I made 3rd place. It was fun and I had a great time.

Paragraph:
I believe that this is a good theme song for this campus when it comes to dating. The reason being is because there are students who date others and the guys girlfriends are pretty or something relate to the matter and another girl gets jealous. There are girls who try to take other peoples boyfriends because they don't think there as pretty or they simply judge them.

"The Bass,the River,or Sheila Mant" Airhead or Fishin Paragraph

In the story Sheila is simply an airhead. the reason I say this is because she demonstrates this through out the story. For example Sheila did not want to go in a canoe so she offered to get her dads car but W.D sweet-talked her into going with him on the canoe. Sheila is also very materialistic the reason behind this is because at the fair she decided to leave W.d and go with some other guy that had a car. Another example was when W.D was struggling with the fish the whole time while Sheila was having a conversation about her future and her education. These examples demonstrate why Sheila is a total airhead.

Internal and External Conflicts in the Story

In the story " Sheila and WD" faces external and internal conflicts. W.D tried to impress Sheila instead of doing what he actually liked to do most witch was fishing. His internal conflict was not having enough confidence to ask her out at first until she actually finally tried talking to her and telling her things that would convince her. His external conflict was trying to tell her that he loved fishing unlike her. Sheila on the other hand was worring to much about herself instead of trying to conversate with him. Her external conflict was she didn't like to fish. The only conflict that was not solved at the end of this story was Sheila ended leaving with another guy and because W.D was trying to impress Sheila he might never get the chance to catch a Bass that big again. This shows to never change for someone and if one were to read between the lines it basically reads to be one's self and not try to impress anyone.

"Catch the Moon" Falling in Love

Falling in love can change a person in many ways. For example if someone were to fall in love It can have an effect on hormone levels and other regular functions. Stress can do similar things. Anything that affects one emotionally can have a physical effect. Another example would be the campus we live on. Many kids or teens may fall in love with another peer on campus but they don't know that this here is not real love it's simply "Puppy Love." If Someone were to fall in love with someone and the opposite sex is not than it can affect a women tragically. She would probably become very emotional and sad. There can be many outcomes depending on there situation such as arguing, fighting, stress or even break-ups. Unlike on the other hand if a couple were to fall in love and they were actually together then yes there relationship would be more caring, Gentle, compassionate and loving. When people fall in love they are motivated to make there opposite happy and proud of having someone such as them on there side.There's many different reasons why love can change a person but this is strongly why I think it can.

"Halloween Memory in Third-Person"

Last Halloween there was a girl named Bella and she wanted to go trick or treating. She was not allowed to go out that night because her aunt said it was a waste of time and it was worshiping the devil. Bella did not understand why other kids were allowed to go to houses and get candy and dress up. Bella was sad and mad at the same time she felt like her aunt wanted to keep her away from having fun. Bella decided to disobey her and sneaked out the window at 9:30 to go trick or treat. She left a note that she would be back later on and all she wanted was to hangout with her friends and get some candy. She didn't want to be the only one home on Halloween night. She was so glad but she noticed the time and decided i was time to head back home before it got any later. Bella went home and her aunt was waiting for her on the coach. Her aunt only had to say one word "grounded".

Typhoid Fever - Present tense Childhood Memory

I am 12 years old and I was in bed when I hear a loud noise coming from the stairs. I walk up the stairs and no one is there. I go to to my little twin brothers room to see if they are awake. I'm shocked to see what I have seen my mouth jaw drops in seconds. My mother and step dad are having inter course with my brothers in the room. I cant believe it I grab clothes to change my brothers and take them out. My mind has so many thought in it at this point. I am not sure what to do but the main thing was to take my brothers out of the room. I take them downstairs and change them. I head to the kitchen to make them some break feast and leave them in the living room watching Disney Chanel. I'm still shocked and in disbelief. My mother takes me outside and asks me why I was up there. I explained my reasons and let her know " You are the most disgusting person I have ever met in my life." She beats me till she is tired and I am left on that cold garage cement floor bleeding and crying not able to rise and stand with pride.

I don't know what I was doing. All I wanted was to see my brother. I promised my momma and daddy that I would go back. My brother was in a plant called Wooden. I really wanted to see him so I hopped on an EDS. I saw a sign I read it and said “ Unauthorized personal keep out.” I knew I would be breaking some kind of regulation. I thought I had to pay a fine or something related to that matter but I was wrong. I was hiding in a closet. I thought no one would find me and I would make it safe there. When unexpectedly a man named Branton caught me. He thought I was a man or at least wished I was. He said it would have made his job way easier for him. I was a stellaway and I was not supposed to be there. I was in big trouble! I had to die because I was taking up there fuel and slowed down there shipping, at least that was what was mentioned. I was scared and I wheeped. I tried to convince Mr.Branton but he said he couldn't help me all I could do was write to my momma and daddy. I asked if I were able to say goodbye to my brother he dialed as I waited. "Don't feel like that, don't let me go knowing you feel like that" I said "He tried to help me Gerry, your fading out Gerry"....."Maybe I'll come to you in your dreams with my hair braided and crying because my kitten died or maybe I will be the touch of the breeze that whispers to you when it goes by.... think of me like that Gerry always like that and not the other way".....these were the words I had to tell my brother before I was gone "Goodbye Gerry"...and as the words came out of his mouth with the last good bye from him I hung up and got ready for my death. I was no longer afraid but happy to be able to speak to my brother one last time. In my heart I new this wasn’t an official goodbye and I would see him agian but hopefully not to soon.

Hi my name is Bertha. I am the most behaved young girl in my whole country and lots of the girls hate me because of it. I have medals for many achievements that I have completed. Lots of people admire me because of my goodness. There was a park that no one was able to go to.. basically out of bounds. The prince gave me an invite because he believed I deserved it. I was able to go and it was the most beautiful park ever. There were black and white fat pigs they were filthy but adorable. I was enjoying my time walking around taking a look at the amazing animals. I heard a noise and as I looked back there was a wolf right behind me. I was afraid I did not know what to do so I ran and hid behind a bush. I heard the steps and crushing of the leaves on the floor I shrugged. The beautiful medals that I had on my dress clinked against each other. The wolf heard me and pulled me out of the bushes at that point with no one around I new no one was going to help me and my life was about to end.

Once upon a time there was a little egg in a nest all lonley and left with noone around when it would hatch. The mother was no where to be found when the little bird hatched. The little bird was scared and wondered were his mom was so he left the nest and when exploring for his mommy. He whent to a bear, eagle, worm butterfly and many others. All of them said no I am not your mommy. The bird was looking for his mommy still and finally gave up when he whent back to his nest and said are you my mommy and the big bird said " Yes Im your mommy." The story ended great.

Today I was planning on tripping everyone in the cafe because I was borred. I never liked any of these kids because the were all better then me. The line was super long and so I decided I wanted to be picky. There is no food that apitises me so I said I did not want anything. I kept getting food and putting it back because I thought it was funny. I dropped all the food that I was offered and made a hudge mess while standing in line. The cook gave me a broom and dust pan to clean all the food on the floor up a I refused to pick it up for about five minutes. I finally picked it up after he mentioned telling the principle.

Essay Reflection Paragraph

I really liked the essay that I wrote for Ms. Priester's English 10 class. I believe that I did really well describing my personal characters and detailing my story. As well as the way I put certain sentences and statements that were said back and forth from my mother to me. I also liked the way I wrote about the weapons I was hurt with because I described them very well. Including the way I translated them from Spanish to English with the exception of one because I did not know what it would be called in English. I personally though it was pretty unique and catchy. I think that next time I wright a paper/essay I need to make sure that I really spell check my work better and get at least a little more into the translations. Besides that I believe my paper was great, it was suspenseful, sad and very interesting. When it comes to my writing I think Ms. Priester and I have come a vary long way. This is only my sophomore year and I have learned so much. As long as she keeps doing what she is doing. I am not very sure what it is but it's worked for me. I am moving along well I will hope for it to continue.

"Chilean Miner Rescue"

Sympathy! That is what I feel when I hear about this story. I believe that they were very strong I waiting for someone to rescue them. I would have never wanted to be in that position. Being trapped underground to the anxiety of their waiting families that were probably super worried. I just simply could not live with the thought or ever simply imagine having that feeling or being in that position in there shoes. The reason why I feel such sympathy is because of the thought of the pain they each and every one of them were going through while being stuck underground not knowing if anyone would save them or know they were their. I was very glad to hear that they were all safe and sound and in the process of getting rescued.

"Two Kinds" Mother & Daughter Conflict

In the conflict between Jing-Mei and her mother, Jing-Mei is a little girl who came from china. Her mother wanted her to be a Prodigy but Jing-Mei didn't want to. In this story I support Jing-Mei because no one should ever have to be obligated to do something they don't want to do or something they dislike. For example when Jing-Mei's mother made her watch and learn the things people did on t.v. It wouldn't make Jing-Mei happy. In addition at the end of the story when Jing-Mei finished her piano performance in the talent show the next day her mother still wanted her to go to piano lessons after having the most embarrassing moment ever the night before. In the story Jing-Mei tryed to be what her mother wanted her to be but she couldn't handle it no more. This shows that Jing-Mei is a strong character and cared to make her mother happy but this also shows that Jing-Mei would not live a life of a lie and would not tolerate having her mother tell her what to be. Jing-Mei's actions are of a young girl who wants to make her momhappy but not to be what her mom wants her to be but what jing-Mei herself wants to be when she grows up.

her mother had two other daughters who died when they were babies.
Jing-Mei's mother wanted her to be a prodigy.
Her mother took her to a beauty college to get a haircut to make her look like Shirley Temple.
Her mom worked as a cleaning lady. She would look at magazines at the houses where she cleaned.
In one of the magazines she saw an ad for piano lessons.
Jing-Mei's mother signed her up for lessons with Mr. Chong.
She did her best to practice.
She screwed up "Pleading Child" at the talent show because she didn't learn it very well.
She hit the wrong keys. The notes were off. She made plenty of mistakes. Her legs were shaking.
The audience did not clap. They made comments about her because she sucked.
Jing-Mei's mother was very disappointed. No tears came out.
She rebelled by telling her mother she didn't want to play piano anymore.
Her mom realized her daughter was not going to be a celebrity.
Mother and daughter had a sentimental moment when Jing-Mei said "I wish I was dead like the others."
Her mom felt misery so she left. She felt betrayed that her daughter would say that to her.
Jing-Mei had wonderful memories including when her mother gave her the piano at 13 and said "You don't have to be a genius in order to play."

If I were in Jing-mei's shoes and I had to be pressured to be a prodogy I would have stoped my mother scence the begining when she first started to make her go to piano lessons. I would have told my mother that I did not want to do it because I did not think it was my destiny or something I wanted to be. I would have approached her in a calm manner and told her. In my family obeying them is very important. I must do what they say or they will get mad. Although if I don't like something that they try and make me do my sister has always told me to let it be know. If I dont like something I would always say something.

I have a deep concern with my blog post because I'm not doing well in my wrighting skils. I feel that I can do really good. My grade just dropped today from a hight C to a D. I am very concerned about my grade. I also have my biggest concern on my history class with Mr. Walker I cant seem to raise m y grade up no matter how hard I have tryed. I am still going to keep trying until I make sure I am happy with my final grade. I need help in both of these classes. The only reson I am not passing history is because I cant seem to remember dates and people or what they did. I can do all my class work but when the test date comes I totally forget everything. In english I am improving. I have noticed it in myself that I can do it. I get all my homework done and do all my classwork that is why I was so surprised when I saw my grade today. Teachers and Adults can help me study for test and help me with my assignments. All I have to do is ask for help in which I am starting to do. Ms. Priester doeswn't really need to do anything unless I need help on my wrighting skills. Over all Ms. Priester is a great english teacher and I have learned a lot. I also hope to end up with atleast a B by the end of the quarter.

"Two Kinds" Conflict Experience

I have never been expected to do anything I don't want to. There was one time when I was living with my mother. I hated my mother and it seemed like she hated me. One random day she got very upset with me because I didn't clean the house for her and other issues. She expected me to do that every day while she was gone. I didn't do it because I couldn't sleep the night before. Sense I didn't obey her rule that one day she went into my 19 year old (at the time) sister room and took my sisters engagement ring. It was shiny and had a big diamond on it. She put in my room. My mother was wicked. She took it and looked at me and said in spanish that I must take the blame for my sisters missing ring I cried and said I couldn't and I wouldn't. My sister came home shortly and was looking for her ring she yelled " Were is my ring? Has any one seen it?" I was terrified but I couldn't lie my mother stared at me. I told my sister that mom had it. My mother slapped me across the face. I was expected to take the blame. My sister and her Fiance were confused. I cried in front of them and swore that I didn't take it. My sister didn't know what to believe. I was screwed. My mother said that I was lying when truth be said it was all her. In front of them she said that I was lying and that I had it. My sister and mother looked in my room and my sister found it in between my clothes. I explained and argued until my mother said " I am going to burn your hands for lying" I was afraid.

My roommate July is known by many people. She has a very outgoing personality. July is always laughing and telling jokes. She doesn’t care what people think or say about her because she likes to have fun and enjoy herself. At home she is always one of the first girls to start telling stories and jokes and makes the whole house bust out laughing. A lot of the staff and many of the students and people who know her are always telling her she has a great sense of humor and is good to always see her smiling. Many staff support her and talk to her about her personality. July's always smiling and even though she has bad days she turns them around and has a great time. If she see's anyone of the girls in the house sad or upset or anyone in general she always try's to make us feel better and she puts a smile on our face. She is very up going and joyful.

In the story Dees mother reminds me of my older sister Ayneeth. My sister is very straight forward with everyone no matter what. If my sister was to see or hear something wrong or just simply not right she will let you know how it is and what she thinks you did wrong. Because there are atleast 5 of us sisters Ayneeth explains that no one is better then the other and that we are all equal to her. Also because we come from Mexico we shouldn't be ashamed of the way we lived. In the story Dee was very ashamed of the way her house looked and even of her own family. She thought the world revolved around her and took everything for granted. My sister is a great example and a person that I can look up to and thanks to her I will never become the way Dee was and I would hope no one else would eatheir.

My name is Dee and I am very intimidated by the way my house looks. I have a sister named Maggie who lives with my mother. My sister has scares running down her arms and legs from the time our house got burned and so did she. I was invited to come back home and visit my family so I brought a friend with me. "Everyday Use" Before You Read: Traditions and Herlooms

I did not grow up with many traditions although I could consider some things I did traditions. When I was a little girl every Christmas my sisters, my aunt and I would travel to Mexico. The reason we would travel was because we would go celebrate Christmas with my great great grandmother. To me it was always a tradition to open 1 christmas gift at exactly 12 midnight. When I have my children I will let that tradition be passed on and let them open a gift. I also want to pass down my traditional bealiefs of Catholocism. It is a tradition for a young man or young lady before the age of 15 to do his/her baptism,first communion and confess in order to celebrate there 15 birthday. For a young lady it would be called her quinceanera and the young man would be considered his 15 birthday. It is also to recognize that they have whent from a young child to a women or man. I also do not have a posetion that was passed on from any of my family members but I have a rosary that I care for because of its meaning. When I have my first child I would like to give it to eathier him or her. Depending on how many children I was to have that would be the many times it would be passed on. When my child is 15 he/she will take it and take care of it when he/she turns 18 he/she will pass it on to his brother or sister and at the end the youngest of my kids will keep it for when he/she has there children and I would ask that he/she do the same and keep that tradition going. I look forward to to keep these traditions going and make my children happy.

"Character Prior Knowledge Paragraph about

In the story the "Contents of the Dead Mans Pocket" the main character in was Tom Beneck. In the begining of the story Tom was very stressed-out, intense, occupied and commited to his job. All of these characteristics change as the story goes by as well as the time. Tom Beneck was very occupied when it came to his job. He never hung-out with his wife when she asked him to. He was to commited and would completly leave his wife aside. Tom decides not to go to the movies with his wife and while letting his wife out closing the door behind her the wind rushes through his papers and the most important of all makes him walk out the window to a ledge. Tom retreaved the yellow paper that was so important but while being out locked outside a window and only for a yellow paper it came to mind that he almost lost his life if he wouldn't have broke that window. He also thought about his wife and how much he loved her. In the end of the story he sets the yellow paper back on his desk and is ready to go find his wife when the paper flew away and "Tom Beneck burst into laughter and then closed the door behind him." Tom's character changes and becomes more carring and considerate of his personal life including his wife. He noticed his wife was more important than any job.

I am not sure what happened in 9/11 I have never heard of it. I know it was something about the terrorist attacking the tower and it came down or something similar to that. Im sure I was just a little girl when that happened but I know for a fact I do not like terrorists and were they are at I would never want to be. If I had heared from it and or experianced it I bealive the impact it would have made on me would have been really strong. I think that I would feel sad and at the same time scared for the people who experianced it and had to be there when it all happened. 9/11 was something I would never want to hear repeat itself agian. I also know that many people died and family's were probrable distroyed and seperated. The loss of family in this tragedy would have made an impact on me and taught me to love and care for the little family I have because you never know what might happen what if my sister was there and I lost her then what would I have done.

About 4 days ago in a little cafe down the street from my house there was noone around but a little tiny mouse named Gus-Gus. Gus-Gus was a poor little mouse who had nothing to eat in over a week he was starving. One day he couldn't take it any longer and when the cafe refrigerator was opened his chance was given. He sprinted to into the fridge and stoped with a long pause. He thought that he was in heaven because all he saw was cheese all around him. Gus-Gus grabed the cheese and ate as much as he could. He ate and ate and ate when he was full and was rubbing his belly ready to get up and move the fridge door made a "clash" the door was closed! Gus-Gus tryed to get under the door bu he was so fat and full that he couldn't get under it. Gus-Gus started to cry and scream for help. He thought that noone would hear him. Outside the door was a little female mouse who heared Gus-Gus scream. She went under the door and saw him sitting in the center crying. She asked him " Do you need help?" Gus-Gus without looking said yes. He wipped his face and looked up and saw the most eutiful female mouse ever. The little mouse climed up the fridge door and unlocked the swich. Th little mouse and Gus-Gus ran out of there when they heared keys slamming agianst the wooden door. From that day forword the cafe was silent and noone was around.

I bealive that in the year of 2058 when the cop car took Mr. Bradbury to the building the building was probrably dark when he got there. I bealive that the building was more high tech when he went inside and that there were big machines that had electricity. When Mr. Brabury went inside he probrably had to sit on a chair and connect some cables in him and wear a helmet and start the electricity. after that was all done there were maby some little migets that conrolled inside and hepled him choose a wife. Maby after that he was free to go with a wife and he stayed inside his house and wont come out no more.

I think that the author wrote that story so we know now in 2010 can look or get sort of an idea of what the future will be like. Also maby so the world and the people in it will stay active and not watch t.v all the time. also it looks like in the future there will be better technology for example the cop car the only one around and it speaks. Also explains he fact that the modernize people that talk walk maby in the future the people will not walk anymore or the world will seem like there is no life in it any longer. I bealive that people will probrably be more lazy and not want to do anything and so the author who wrote the story is trying to signal us and tell us to be active and stay active and keep the activity going.

I bealive that in 2053 life will probably be more electronic. That there will most likley be robots in the future life that are created for peoples personal use. I am not sure if they will be used in a good way or bad way. I also bealive that people will have life even easier than it is now not to say it isn't easy already I just think the technology will get even more advanced then it is now. I also think that maby bad things will happen in the future and children will be more spoiled then this generation is.

The similarity was that both storys have a posetion that was important to each character in the poem and and story. The poem was based on the boy drawing a picture and the story was the yellow sheet of paper both posetions were important to them.

Item I would risk my life for

The only item I would every put my life at risk for would be the picture of my sister that I have. I love my sister and I care about her so much. I am so scared to loose it because I dont have anything that keeps me going. It is hard for me to let something like that go because I look at that picture when I am sad. I only have a sister that I care about and looking at that picture makes me smile and I forget about everything.

If I was Tom Bekneck I would have not whent after the yellow paper knowing that It was already outside. I would rather let it go because I would not like to put my life at risk. Especially scence it was only a job or promotion paper. I care a lot about my life in order to jeberdice it and on top of that get stuck outside the window closing behind me. I would have also left with my wife and spend time with her instead of staying home for work. I would never have put my job or any promotion over my wife.

Friends or Studing

If I had to choose between my friends or my homework especially if I have a test I would rather stay home. The reason being is because I really would want to pass my test and have good grades in what ever it is that I had as an assignment. Hanging out with my friends and failing my classes is not the best decision I could make although sometimes I do procrastinate although I try most of the time not to. I like having good grades they are very important for me and If I have to drop my friends for grades. It would be a definet yes.

Paralyzed by fear

I don’t really normally get scared of anything but I have got paralyzed. I remember not so long ago I got paralyzed because I had a flashback. The reason I had a flashback was because a person did something that reminded me of my mom. I remember standing there just scared I couldn’t move. I have the greatest fear for my mom and seeing that person do that scared me. This is the only time that I felt that way as if my feet were stuck on the floor and I couldn’t move. Like 5 minutes later I sat down and started crying. It was a scary thing for me to experience.

Icarly

I like watching Icarly it is one of my favorite shows because it is so funny. I remember watching one episode were Carly and her friends and her wanted to make a girl happy because she would complain about how she did not have any friends. So carly decided to make her show cast at the girls house. The girl had a great time because everyone thought that she was cool epecially sence the icarly show was going on at her house. The girl was happy that the people liked her so she decided to kid nap them 3. The girl went sicko and kept them there for 2 days. Carly and her friends tryed there best to escape but they couldnt because they were stuck in a recording studio. Carly and her friends decided to make a fake happy birth day for Hiuy and they left clues in between there words. Hiuy ggot the video and went to go save Carly and her friends.

Today has been a very weird day!Why? It's been a weird day because almost all my classes I have had sub. teachers today. I have a lot of homework for Ms. Davis tonight. I also have volley ball practice from 5 to 8 it has been really fun. Volley ball try outs are tomorrow wednesday. I have been looking forward to this seson for a while now. Last year I was going to play but I had got here when they had a team already and try-outs had just passed. I was dissapointed I really hope I make this years team. Volley ball right now is my motivation in order to keep my grades up. I have to keep a 3.0 in order to even play. This years Volleyball seson should be very intresting. Good Luck Lady DRAGONS!!!!!

I'm at the JCCS County office with Ms. Priester, Joseph, Jessica and Jose. This is really cool because I feel like my student role went from student to teacher, especially because Mr. Walker is here. Im having fun being here. I'm so glad I get to help teachers because normally I would think they know everything oviously because they are teachers. Memorible Birthday

My most memorible birthday was this past year. I was about to turn 16 and I had never celebrated my birthday atleast that I can remember. At the begining of the day I decided to through a kick back were a couple of my friends and I talked and danced. later that day I decided I wanted to through a house party at my house. My staff and some of the girls in my house whent shopping for party supplies and food. We got back home like around 6:30 the house party was at 7:00. They all helped me set up and the house looked awsome.It was 5 minutes before and people were already knocking at the door.By 7:20 the doors were opened. Everyone had fun a couple of issues accured but at the end of it everyone had fun and most of all I had fun while it lasted.

Embarassing Moment!

My most embarrassing moment was when my jeans riped. One day I was just playing a basketball game. I was about to shoot the ball when I heard my pants rip. I immediately sat on the bench... I was so scared I thought that the people around me were going to laugh at me and make fun of me. I wasn't really sure what to do so I sat on the bench for about 20 minutes. After sitting there just thinking what to do I decided to ask one of my friends if I could borrow her sweater and I explained why I was very embarrassed. She let me use her sweater and I ran home and changed. I definitely did not want to go anywhere after all that issue.

My Weekend

On sunday I whent to la Jolla Beach. I got to meet some new people who helped me to improve on my surfing skills. I hung out with some of the other residents at SPA. When we first arrived at the beach we all gathered in a circle and introduced our selves. Then we paired up into pairs of two and my partner was Steven. The waves were very good not to big but not so small they were about right. It was there perfect day to surf and hang out at the beach. The water was great so I decided to take a little swim after surfing. As the sun whent down and the waters calmed down a little game of volleyball made my day.

My Paragraph for my first day of School

I had a great first day of school. I actually started the year here and it's my sophmore yearI'm so excited. I got to hang out with friends and have the same classes with them. Although not all of the same people that were in freshmen year are together. Now majority are seperated. My classes are mixed with juniors and seniors. My classes are super hectic this year. I got to meet my teachersand I'm looking forward to working with them. They explained there rules and what they expected of me in return. Some of my teachers also explained about the K.C. I'm really scared but I know I will pass If I try hard enough. I got to see what my sophmore year is is going to look like. I'm also happy because I have Ms. Priester agian. I'm looking forward to being in her class so she can help me especially on my K.C also just to teach me more tech stuff.

Week

It has been a tough week for me. I got into it with Ms.Priester about Shane's church service. I also was testing magority of the time. I dont know if I did good but I really hope so. I have a major headache and Im very tired. I have been on restriction for 5 days in a row. I whent to shane's service on wednesday and it kicked butt. I was so glad to see almost the whole campuse including staff and Mr. Major attened. Shane was very happy and so was everyone else. There was not one person in that service that did not cry(shed a tear). I am so proud of Shane he has developed well and is making a change on this campuse.

BBQ

Yesterday was the best day I mean besides prom. There was a lot of fun games as well as a jumper. All the classes were vs. each other starting from grade. There was relay races and basketball. There were also water balloon relay races which were fun. I played majority of the games. I was happy because the freshman won the basketball game vs the sophmores as well as we came in third place in the scavenger hunt we had earlier in the day. The seniors beat every class and came in first place in the basketball game, the watermelon and pie eating, as well as in the scavenger hunt they came in first place they were very happy. It was a very good day after all I had lots of fun. The best part of it was seeing all the teacher including the principal Mr.Major playing tugawar. It was cool having to watch everyone with a smile on there faces.

Blog Opinion

I really love having a blog in Ms. Priester's class. I bealive that for me It is very good to have a blog in order to0 be able to communicate with all my teachers and friends. I like the fact that my blog can be used for school work as well as for my personal use. I can post new thought or ideas as well as comments on homework or even ten second sound off. When I* miss days in school because of personal reasons I know that I can look up Ms. Priester's blog if I need to look up the classwork/homework or anything new that my teacher posted. It is a very good thing to have blog's in my opinion for communication and information or just to see how someone is doing.

I'm writing this letter you because I want to alert you about cyber predetors. A cyber predetor is someone who can be over 18 years of age and can act as if they are a teenager. Majority of there intentions are not good and are looking for sexual contact in other words rape young teenage girls. It is very important to not ever release any of your personal information. Even if it is something that you do not feel conftorable talking to me about because your life will be put at terrible risk. For example adding your last name or phone number on any chat site would be a caution alert because the cyber preditors can track you down and end up knocking at the door one day.


In addition to our topic from above there are also cyber bullys wich can hurt you in a diffrent matter. They can be people that go to your school or just people in general. For example they can cuss you out and say hurtful things that will cause damage to you in life. They can threat you and even eventually cause you phyisical harm.


 Daughter I would like to keep you safe and in order to do that I decided to make new computer rules. It is decided that there will be no computer in your room. I have also decided that scence I cant  monetor you every time your online that the computer in the living room will have all chat sites blocked. I will have them unblocked one day of the week and the weekend  but the people you talk to must be approved by me. Yesterday I had a lot of fun. I hung out with my friends and ate the best hot spicy chiken wings. There was a movie that I wanted To watch that was called Fame I finally watched it last night. I also helped Alissa fix all the Prom dresses. I picked out a red short cute dress. It's really pretty I really like it. I did my homework and just hung out in the gym ohh and I watched the dragon ladys softball game witch of course the lady dragons one. We are number one.

Carrer Day

I had a very good day today. It was really fun to talk to all the career people. I talked to a man that mentioned he is a counselor at Grossmant Community College. He asked me what I was interested in majoring in college when I graduate. I mentioned music (piano and voice). He explained to me that I should know what I want to major in in order for me to take the right steps. I also found out that there are some advantages in Grossmant but I'm not so sure if I want to go there. I still have 3 more years to choose and think about what college or university I would like to go to. But I will take it in consideration because he gave me a panflite that talks about more advantages in my education there especiay because I'm in the system and the extra support adding on to a better education. I wasn't very into the Salvation Army But check it out. Last but not least the Military would probrably be my choice if I didn't know what to do with my life that would be a definite yes.
