If I was the detective investigating the murder of Patrick Maloney in "Lamb to the Slaughter" by Roald Dahl, I would have not sat around and stop looking for the murder weapon. I also would have tried to investigate more on the wife because it was a little suspectful that she would want me to take a drink with her and then offer me some dinner. I also would have asked many questions about her and her husbands relationship. I would have been a great detective because I would have most likely solved the murder case.
