In the story Sheila is simply an airhead. the reason I say this is because she demonstrates this through out the story. For example Sheila did not want to go in a canoe so she offered to get her dads car but W.D sweet-talked her into going with him on the canoe. Sheila is also very materialistic the reason behind this is because at the fair she decided to leave W.d and go with some other guy that had a car. Another example was when W.D was struggling with the fish the whole time while Sheila was having a conversation about her future and her education. These examples demonstrate why Sheila is a total airhead.
